Description

***In event of RAIN we'll move to the Oak-Hickory Room (just inside, in the Lubber Run Community Center). We can also move there if we are all collectively overheating :)

We all know the relationship between faith and work(s) is complicated, but what about faith and play? We may feel nostalgic when we watch children lose themselves in play, thinking “Those were the days!” but what might child’s play have to do with childlike faith?

Bring your favorite games like cornhole, badminton, frisbees, spikeball, tennis rackets/balls, basketballs, soccer balls, volleyballs, etc.  We'll play several games together as a group that day while we also explore the spiritual value of play in our lives as Christians. All ages and ability levels welcome! Kids will be invited to "play along" with the adults -- and, who knows -- they may end up leading the way!

Let's meet at the Picnic Shelter, which will be our homebase for the afternoon.

As noted above, in the event of rain / overheating, we will be inside the Lubber Run Community Center in the Oak Room. There is a large space there where we can play, rest, and relax indoors. (Please bring a mask if you'd like to have one while indoors)
