Community Work Day - Labor Day

C O M M U N I T Y   W O R K   D A Y

7 September 2020, 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

     You are invited to help local master gardeners (volunteers through the Virginia extension office) with site work at Corhaven Graveyard, 2883 Quicksburg Rd, Quicksburg VA on Labor Day. Traditionally to honor American workers, Labor Day promotes celebration of collective action demonstrated in laboring together. Come and participate in the collective good work at Corhaven Graveyard, a place that remembers and honors the dignity of Americans once enslaved on an antebellum plantation.

     At this Community Work Day, help with weeding in the monarch waystation, monitoring native bees, and more. The day begins with a brief tour, and then continues with hands-on work in the garden space, Circle Process reflection, and simple lunch.
