Community Work Days at Corhaven Graveyard and tribute garden space, a Northern Shenandoah Valley Master Gardener Association's project, enable you to help care for a unique historical burial site. During the winter months, we hard mulch and maintain the landscape, removing fallen treelimbs and similar debris. As the weather warms, we weed, mulch, and care for the plants that are growing in the monach waystation. This includes an opportunity for learning hands-on gardening practices with educational volunteers through the Virginia extension office. Our time concludes with Circle Process for reflection on the day's work.

We anticipate working on signage installation at this Community Work Day, in addition to the garden work.

RSVP is required for accurate numbers of participants. Currently, due to CDC recommendations, participant size is limited. Bring and wear a mask and be ready to practice social distancing. More information will be sent to those who sign-up. In the event of poor weather conditions (precipitation and/or freezing temperatures), the work day will be canceled the day before the event. For more information, contact director of Corhaven Graveyard, Sarah Kohrs, at corhavengraveyard@inthecoracle.org.
