The Community Work Day at Corhaven Graveyard on Monday, September 2, provides a wonderful opportunity for you to connect to a historic and transformative site. You'll make a positive difference at a site dedicated to honoring 2 dozen formerly enslaved Americans, interred at Corhaven. This final work day of the year enables you to learn best gardening practices from local master gardeners, while performing a meaningful act akin to reparations.
A general schedule for the day includes: 9 a.m. Tour / 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. Work in the garden and graveyard / 11:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. Reflection via Circle Process / 12 - 12:30 p.m. Lunch
RSVP is required for planning, supplies, and lunch.
