February - May, 2020

Participate in readings, discussions, and events that encourage personal reflection surrounding issues of historical and modern slavery, racial injustice and white privilege, and similar topics. Corhaven Graveyard Book Club is a safe space for anyone in the community (mature teenagers and adults) to ask questions, to seek greater understanding, and to share our perspectives, because together we can learn more than on our own.

In 2020, we will meet On-line via a closed Facebook group, as well as In-person at Corhaven in Quicksburg, VA, and at special events.

Although we will use other resources, too, the main text we are reading in 2020 is Collective Amnesia: American Apartheid - African Americans' 400 Years in North America, 1619-2019 by local historian, Eugene DeFriest Betit.

Direct questions to Sarah Kohrs, Director of Corhaven Graveyard, at CorhavenGraveyard@intehcoracle.org or 434-922-2029.
