Our work in the world is one of the primary way God works in the world, and by no means is this limited to priests, pastors, and missionaries.   When this truth sinks down into our hearts, it changes how we think about our jobs, paid and unpaid.

This retreat, done in community for a day, will be a long conversation about some of the questions and themes that we've been asking for many years and trying to live some answers too.   How does a Christian bear up under the weight of a world that is so very broken?  What is the Christian hope for the world and how does that impact how I view my vocation and/or job?  Does my work really matter to God?   Why work on fixing problems that seem intractable?   How do I know my vocation?   How can I know what God is calling me to do?   How can I understand my vocation in Kingdom terms?  What is a peaceable way to live in a fractured world?  And other for sure, based in part on who comes on the retreat! Scholarships available.  Lunch will be provided.  This retreat is part of the Coracle Fellowship Program, but it is open to a limited number of non-fellowship participants.
